How many guests can you accommodate at The Ivory Pavilion?

We can accommodate up to 40 guests within Galgorm Castle. The Ivory Pavilion has a maximum capacity of 250 guests for a seated meal or 300 for a standing reception.

Can we have our wedding ceremony at your venue?

We have three wedding ceremony locations - Galgorm Castle Forecourt, The Walled Garden and The Ivory Pavilion and we are delighted to be part of that special moment with you.

Do you have a fee to have the ceremony onsite?

Yes, we do charge a fee of £500 to cover the venue and the staff for the time of the ceremony as well as the set up and turn around after your wedding ceremony.

Who are your caterers?

We normally work with Posh Nosh, Montgomery Catering or Nu Delhi depending on the numbers and type of hospitality required. If you have a preferred company to cater for your event we are happy to discuss this with you in more detail.

How does the catering process work?

We manage the process from the point of booking right through to the day of your event. We include catering as part of your event package so we work closely with our suppliers - overseeing the menu choice, the tasting, the staff and the final details so you can rest assured that you are looked after entirely by us and our team from the moment you book.

How long is the arrival reception?

We typically recommend two hours but we are happy to accommodate your personal preference.

Can I bring my own wine for the tables?

We have a high-quality wine list for you to choose from but if you wish to bring your own wine, we will charge £10 per bottle for Wine and Prosecco and £15 per bottle for Champagne.

Can I have a different choice for my arrival drink?

We are very proud to be highly flexible and personal so even though our packages are based on a specific drink we are happy to change these options based on your preferences. Depending on the drinks you choose, this may have an extra charge that our team will discuss with you throughout your planning meetings.

What time does the bar open to?

Last orders are 12:45am and the venue will close at 2am.

Are we allowed candles?

You can have candles at The Ivory Pavilion, we’re one of the few venues who still permit this. We just ask that candles are in a jar/container which is higher than the height of the flame. Candlelight is beautifully atmospheric in the marquee.

Do you have a Master of Ceremonies?

Yes, one of our Event Managers will be on-site for the duration of your wedding to ensure that your day runs smoothly and according to plan, and will be happy to perform MC duties as required. We have a PA system in the marquee which you can play background music through, and we have 2 microphones with stands which you can use for speeches.

Are we allowed fireworks?

Yes, you are allowed fireworks for a Thursday – Saturday event. Your firework provider must obtain a licence from Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

Do you require a deposit?

To confirm your wedding date, we require a £1000 security deposit. This deposit is refundable and will be returned to you two weeks after your wedding day. For corporate or private events, the deposit is negotiable

What is your payment schedule?

We request payment of 50% of your wedding contract 9 months prior to the wedding and the other 50% 3 months prior. We are very flexible so a payment plan can be arranged. Corporate and private events often avail of a personalised payment plan and terms.

Do you have accommodation nearby?

We have a range of accommodation options surrounding our venue; from small, intimate guest houses such as Oranmore Guest House to beautiful hotels such as Galgorm Resort.

Can we access the venue the day before our event?

We will allow you access to set up the day before an event if we don’t have another wedding or event booked for that day. Alternatively, we will arrange a different date prior to your event to discuss set up and welcome you to drop items off. We will assist as much as possible to ensure you have as little to worry about as possible.

What time do we have access to the venue on the morning of our event?

Your suppliers will be able to access the venue from 09:00 on the day of the wedding to set up. If earlier access is required before then we will try to accommodate but an extra charge may be required to cover staff costs.

Is there a charge for the Bridal Suite?

Yes, if you wish to use the Bridal Suite before 12noon, there will be a £250 hire fee. After 12noon, the Bridal Suite is included within the venue hire already quoted within your contract.

What time can we collect items following our event?

Our will box as much as possible up on the night of your event. We invite you to collect items between 10am and 12noon the next day.
